Hey everyone! Figured I'd join up here... I've never really done the forum thing before, usually there's too much BS going on, but I figure a local one is always good to join just to keep up on stuff going on. I've heard about this site through the grapevine for all those who are curious about these sort of things, and was told it was a cool place so I'm giving it a shot...

I have a Sentra with some work done to it. It looks stock on the outside, that is all that matters. ;)

I'm around the Denver area.

So that's my intro... I'm not a huge poster by any means, but I'll try to jump into the conversation from time to time :) Hell, I might even come out of my e-shell! ::driver::

Yes, there is an "official" meet & greet monthly. Members often organize their own cruises and get togethers in between. Welcome to CONOC! Glad you've heard good things.

Everyone has silver! That's all I ever see... silver Sentras... sometimes you wonder if silver and black were the only offerings...

albertxvi

there are blue, and yellow, and red (that ive seen live)

Sooshee

Oh yeah, there's tons of colors... it's just that black and silver outnumber the rest by a ton.

I always liked that navy blue offered in the 05+ years of 1.8's and SE-Rs. Don't see too many of those around!

Myself and Chris have the only colored sentras on the board that we know of. I have an 05 code red, he's got an 05 nissan sunfire oj, both spec-v's. As for boost ya, Special has a procharger under the hood, and it's rediculously mean. I'd bet he's pushing 385 to the wheels, he needs to get it dynoed.
Anyways, you should come out to a sentra meet. I'd like to see what you got under the hood. Seeya round the bend.

Sooshee

How much boost is he running on the supercharger to get 385?!

My car is buried in snow right now... maybe once this great winter is over I can drag the car out to a meet. Ugh, so sick of cold and snow! If I was 60, I'd be in Arizona by now. But this weather makes me want to do nothing at all...

Haha, see under my hood... it's quite dirty, and I assure you nothing too interesting.

Thanks :) I am pretty particular about cleanliness, although right now there's mud all over my wheels and rear bumper. Car needs a good TLC session in the spring - good wholesome rub down with the polisher and what not!

Hummmm...... on such a low psi? Dyno sheets, for sure!

Heh, I didn't want to say it first... but yes, 385 on a 10psi (or even 12psi pulley) supercharger is some hopes and dreams right there. Even at sea level. Maybe if some nitrous was getting thrown on top of it, but it'd have to be a big shot, and I would hope the motor would be built so the nice pinky finger-width rods wouldn't bend...

yeah i have to clean mine too, my car has not seen "armor-all" or a vac for 4 months (since i bought it), but everything is coming this spring, lowering springs, HID's, drilled/slloted rotors all around, some bondo/paint, megan down pipe, and a good detailing session!!!

all depends on how much tax return i get.

I think SPECial-John, is running a 12 psi pulley with a smaller crank pulley, and at this altitude it makes like 10 pounds. He was talking about trying to regear the C-1 to make more boost on the pulley setup, but not sure if he has even started to figure that out. I bet he is making around 320-350hp. but what ever the number is, don't matter, he can put your head deep in the rest when he gets on the gas.

He has some pretty impressive mods to the suspension and brakes as well, so he for sure has more then a straight line beast (what I'm wanting). He took me on some turns and such as well, and it was fun.

At any rate, glad to see another SpecV on here. We lost a few, so gotta keep our numbers up.

haha,

My inside isn't too bad as I'm generally the only one inside her. I do have clear mats though protecting the original carpeted mats.

But my outside is horrendous :| Eeek !!! Hasn't been washed in two months. It's just been below freezing almost everyday, and I don't want her to freeze.

This is a pic of her rear after driving to Toronto last weekend.

http://i413.photobucket.com/albums/pp215/ashleycabral/IMG_0701.jpg

Today it actually snowed here too so she is even worse. I should take a new pic tomorrow as now you can't even read her plate any more, that is how dirty she is.

And her front is just as bad. Wheels are horrendous, they look brown rather than silver :(

dude that stuff is REALLY bad for your interior I wouldn't suggest using that product.

Try other products like meguires or pretty much anything that DOESN'T have SILICONE.(armor all does)

Btw I have a brand new Megan racing downpipe never installed still in the box.
Might sell it might install it so that would be good timing for you to get money and me to make a decesion on my car LoL

I personally love Meg's Natural Shine for interiors... it's not horribly shiny or greasy feeling. I hate getting into a car and feeling like needing a shower from all the grease on all the plastic.

Man, I even posted my old dyno numbers and no one caught on...

I knew pictures would finally do it in, especially the watermarked ones. And the wheels... now you know why I cropped them out in my sig, haha. Everyone knew me by the wheels for some reason.

Granted, my car looks nothing like it did last summer, as I had all the carbon fiber and lip kit on then, and now mine looks stock.

Sooshee
01-13-2010, 11:04 AM
What kind of spare parts? I don't have much... I have like... my MAF and throttle body and a Nismo exhaust... just stuff laying around just in case I ever had to go back n/a.

The lip kit... I never really liked. I thought the fronts looked like *** on my car (other colors they look better on) and my drag radials would hit them. And I was just rocking the rear for awhile, and then just took it off... sold them off to some people in NJ. I just wanted to look stock and not stick out anymore.

I would guess closer to 350 at the crank around 10.5 psi. Seems to me that the other S/C'd Sentras I've seen pull that, and that is without running vacuum to the crank (doesn't so much add HP/TQ as free it up a bit)

As to 385 - that is the goal when I put on a non-underdriven pulley which will put me at 12+ lbs. I will be putting in a blockguard first lol... Boosted Spec V's are also VERY finicky when it comes to tuning. Hard to get it so bad you just F it up entirely and blow the engine, but hard to get perfect.

I feel a 30-40whp difference between when it is tuned perfectly and when it starts to drift. Also weather changes can affect the results by as much as 30whp easy. I have never dynoed it, and when people ask why I say "I'm not finished yet."

I am far from finished yet ;) Stay tuned for rev controlled launches, WOT shifts, more custom aero, and a MUCH better stance. Oh and lots of shiny motor stuff too... probably should replace that stock clutch and flywheel too now that I think of it.

I guess that with Sooshee back in the state I no longer haz fasted daily driven V in the mountain regions. Not sure if that makes me want to do more to it or give up.
