My screen looks busy! I like the features that were moved to the right hand side of the screen.. but all of the ones on the left are already at the top.

Just my 2 cents

^ I'm glad people are throwing out suggestions! Anyone else have any?

I've been up at High Plains Raceway all day today and just got home. We are working on refining the homepage, however we cannot accommodate everyone's preferences, as that would be impossible! :Eyecrazy: I'll see what I can do tonight. I am still very new at this and still learning, so bear with me! :busycomputer:

With all the changes going on, sometimes the site may not work... If I'm online, I'll be making changes as soon as I see that something is not working. I've noticed that the new changes are better seen if I open up a new browser, as I think the cookies/cache retains the site errors even if reload is hit.

I really like the site so far. I like the current poll on the left (not just because I made it) because it's engaging. And the calendar with the upcoming events on the right is really nice because you don't have to click the calendar to see what stuff is coming up. I like the full forum being there too.

The way it's laid out now lets a person see so much without having to click around.

Very cool.

Good job Babe!

I think it will display the most recent poll... :scratchchin:

I do like the new layout a lot but, when I log-in for the first time it only shows the left side and the right side nothing in the middle...I know you are still working on it.....

I think the "Sub Forum" list on the mail page makes the page look not clean...

Susan

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "mail page"...

But I have now disabled the sub-forum listings from showing up on the main page.

The modules are collapsible.

Overall I like the new layout but I think we could do without the extra navigation and search windows at the left side, as there is already a Nav bar at the top, that contains a Search function that has a drop down menu. Also, would it be possible to move the Poll window to the right hand column somewhere? I think if there was no lefthand column, the page would breathe a little easier.

Also, upcoming events were already being displayed at the very bottom of the page. Now it is also displayed at the right hand side. We could probably do without one of those?

I don't mean to nitpick, I like the new features, but the other ones that are in more than one place are a bit redundant in my opinion.

^ the double features will probably have to stay. We're still working out the bugs of the new program and will eventually have a homepage and a forum.

I think the "Sub Forum" list on the mail page makes the page look not clean...

Our main page is a tad messy now as we still figure out this program, but we believe that it makes navigation much easier for members for all the areas of the forums. We will be going to a main page and forum set up in the next couple of months, which this will clean up the site and make it look much better when the forum and homepage stuff is separate. ::driver::::driver::

Yes, I know this repeats, and as Andrew said, we are working on learning this program... We felt that listing the upcoming events near the top of the page was better because it was right there- easy to see. Part of learning the program, is learning how to get rid of the upcoming events at the bottom... :busycomputer:

I think I agree with NicholsZ...could we maybe have it laid out kind of like the Colorado Mazda Club page? That is, the home page has news feeds, controls, etc. then the forum is on its own. Even if you collapse the control panels, they are still there...the forum is squished in between them. I just don't use the features on the left or right side of the page very often, if I need them then I know where to look, otherwise they are a bother...I have a small monitor at home and they take up a ton of real estate :( Would rather see the forum stand alone. So, looking forward to seeing how you guys modify it once you get used to the program...
