I'm so pissed off at the DMV right now. 1st trip in get told you need a salvage disclosure from the previous owner, What, the f'in state stamps rebuilt in the door frame and the title says it right there. I get the previous owner to fax me one. 2nd visit get told it needs to be an original. So here I am my car ready to get on the road and the F'in DMV won't give me a temp plate to use until the previous owner sends the disclosure and the freaking usps gets it to me. soooooooo pissed off.

to keep this a question
Wheres the Rant and Rave section?

i feel you man. the place is so inconsistent with rules its not even funny. i go to 3 different dmv offices regarding my rally car which is missing the vin plate on the dash, but has 4 other ones on the car. 2 of them tell me i need to apply for a new vin, one says go to the vin inspection place and it should be fine. i do some research on CO law, and it states basically you need 2 original vin stampings or stickers on the car to have the vin inspection complete. 2 inspection stations tell me no, one says maybe. i bring a copy of the law back to the one that says maybe, and they do it with no problems. wasted 2 days of my life but at least its done.

Yeah, it's a little ironic... people wonder why the divorce rate is so high, but it's easier to get a marriage lisence than it is to get some lisence plates for a car.
Seriously- marriage lisence: 5 minutes, car registration: 5 hours. I hate that place.

She has.... a very good point!

I've never had issues registering cars in CO, but they were all straight foward stuff, going from NJ to CO plates.

Wyoming is super easy... hell, we don't even have DMV's in WY.

hell, you get a different answer with each person you talk to! I say keep calling back until you get the answer you want, then make sure you remember their name & make them stick to their word!

DMVs are horrible. Last one I went to, lady had a problem with how I signed my name. Never knew my signature could offend people to the point where 9/11 was referenced. lol
