I would've totally left a spotted card, but I have no idea where all of mine went. Had paper plates, real young kid... so most likely mommy's and daddy's car/money in reality. Parked at the Chili's here in Laramie... I was eating at Slinger's and looked up and saw it and went "what the hell, GTR in hickland?" then got ideas in my head about how fun it would be to catch him out and about in my Spec one day *evil laugh*

I must note... it's -10 currently, and all the roads are snow covered... nice to see people actually DRIVING their overly expensive Nissan sports cars.

Hmm, I'd love to hear stories of a fully built Sentra SpecV and stock GT-R rabble rousing.

Definitely just a thing of curiosity for me. Even with a power disadvantage (I dunno what stock GTRs have to the wheels), I have a huge weight advantage. And I have no warranties to void, LOL. We shall see... just like I wanna get my taste of the Ferrari in town... but only if I can ask him the retail on "one of those."

When I was in Vegas in my friend's Supra, I was one car behind a Ferrari... I was SO sad I couldn't get next to them and ask their retail. It would've been the bestest thing ever... then I would've smoked 'em. :D

If the GTR was only affordable, then I'd be interested. But looking at it is always a nice thing!

Most earlier models are only about 30hp down. Have you dynoed the spec?

No, I don't go to Wyotech. And I try not to associate with their student population outside of work because most of them are stupiddddddddddddd.

Hmmm... 430whp would pose a very good race.... if I could get my car retuned before the race, haha. I'm definitely north of 450whp with good tuning, and running my max boost at around 25psi. My problem is I'm running out of turbo and injectors... already at something like 90% injector duty cycle at 25psi. But I could definitely up my boost a bit more... and run my drag radials for hope of an ounce of traction LOL!

Oh man, imagine the internet drama that would ensue from a video of a "lowly stupid wrong wheel drive" Sentra killing a "omg i wanna cream in my pants" GTR... of course, the typical argument would arise that "well, if the GTR had as much work done to it as the Sentra, it would be faster." Haha. I guess the counterargument could be "Umm, if I spent like $100k, I would hope no Sentra would EVER be beating me." Because if i owned a GTR and a Sentra beat me, I think I'd commit suicide...

*runs out to the garage to start the re-tuning process of my GTR killer in subzero temperatures*

I'm not really out to race anybody anymore, but damn, I really wanna find me a stock GTR now... it's ignited the ricer street racer deep inside of me.

Sounds likes it's time for some nitrous.

Boost lag and shift times would hurt your chances. And you might be out of gears before your power advantage claws back the distance. What are stock six speeds good for? 160mph or so?

I don't get lag except in 1st/2nd gears, other than that the turbo is spooling just fine. When full boost comes on the car just gets crazy... like... "ahhh cute kitten *boost* OH MY F-ING GOD IT'S A RABID TIGER!" I have a very large turbo for a 4cylinder (so I'm told, seems small to me), but the boost lag isn't bad like in a single turbo Supra or something.

160mph at stock redline. I have a 7200rpm redline, so I have a 178mph top speed. Not that I want to drive 178mph, haha. I've done 160mph and that was freaky enough. I wish I had the maxima final drive, then that pushes the top speeds to nearly 200mph.

I don't plan on adding nitrous... ever. Too much to redo. Car scares me as it is, haha. I'll probably actually be at 6-10psi for most of the summer, as I'm really going to rework my fuel maps. I got a new standalone in December, so I have a lot to redo and make better. Then up the boost from there, really making sure every little bit in between gets tuned very well. Last year I went from 12psi to 20psi to 25psi without ever tuning the stuff well in between, so my fuel map was all sorts of messy. Not going to have that be the case this time!

Dont' laugh, it's like big news... I keep running into people who saw it as well. And we all end up discussing how daddy must've bought the car. And then it degrades into "Omg, what if you raced him?" LOL. But it's quite the news maker... for some reason. There's a few MKIV Supras in town, and use to be an R32, so it's not like the GTR is the first and only sports car in town. Although I bet the Ferrari guy is feeling rain on his parade.

I love the title on this thread, pretty much summed it up.
