Grab a tissue...sh*t, grab your dedicated nut rag because as soon as you lay eyes on Robert_K's Twin Turbo 350Z, you'll be cleaning man juice off the ceiling! The much deserved COTM title has now been given to one of the sexiest Z's eva!
The black Work wheels, Nismo body kit, and the Veteran plates (Iraq) immediately grabs your attention. The carbon fiber hood, rear diffuser, B-pillars, Craftsquare mirrors, air duct, and Z side emblems give it just enough carbon to stand out. The shorty antenna and deleted rear wiper give the Z a cleaner look.
Watch in amazement as the Tein hood dampers raise up the hood to expose a ball tingling amount of mods. The Cosworth plenum, Aerosync carbonfiber strut tower brace, and carbonfiber engine cover add just enough bling to the already potent JWT Twin turbocharged VQ. The GT28s spool fast and build enough boost to make you reach for the non-existing "oh sh*t" bar. lol. The stealthy black intercooler is a subtle touch to such a beastily machine. RC 750 injectors, AAM Fuel Return system, and Walbro Fuel Pump help supply the extra fuel need for the added Twins! Look a little closer and you'll notice a nice collection of ARC products. ARC oil & rad caps and an ARC V2 oil catch can definitely add to the bling factor! RK is no dummy, he knows the added heat from the twins requires more attention to detail...so he added a Stillen oil cooler and Autotechnic carbonfiber rad shroud to keep the oil temp and water temp in check. Power is transferred by the JWT flywheel and clutch assembly while the UTEC was elected to manage the VQ while under pressure.
GTSpec bracing, SPL end links and Hotchkis TVS handle the suspension side of things. Stoptech BBKs and the 19" Advan tires keep the Z stopping on a dime. Backing up is made easy by the rear view camera and huge 7" Pioneer screen in the dash. JL Audi sub, JL amp, and JL components add to the bling factor. Turn the radio down for a second to hear the HKS BOV and Stillen True-dual exahust. The Defi gauges keeps tabs on engine vitals and warns the driver if anything goes wrong. Congrats to Robert_K on a beautiful ride. One can only hope to build such a well-rounded car.

13.2@111 w/ 2.2 60'. Shitty track prep, 40* outside temp, spinning 1st & 2nd. Waiting to go back once the temps get warmer. Traps were 111-115mph and times were 13.4-13.2. Need practice. :o

As mentioned, shitty track and I need practice. Also mid 12's is more like it. Remember 19x11's and a full tank aren't light. lol I ran a Cobra that said he runs 12.6-12.4 all the time but geting the same low 13's that night. Everyone was complaining about track prep. I'm sure I'll get there.

Just placed an order for a set of Enkei RPF1. (18x9.5 +15 & 18x10.5 +15) http://www.enkei.com/rpf1.html Sadly they are back ordered till May 17th. BUT... They will be dropped shipped from Enkei in Fort Worth. :D

And working on a possible sponsorship with Yokohama. So I plan on running 245/35-18 & 275/35-18 Yokohama Advan A008. They are a new tire not yet released to the public. They will be replacing the Advan A048.

The 18x9.5 are 18.6lbs & the 18x10.5 are 19.7lbs. ::driver:: For every 1 pound of unsprung mass you save is like taking off 25lbs of total weight. ;)

Thanks! Nope. OEM/OEM spec aftermarkets should clear the Cosworth. However if you plan on running after-market fuel rails you will need the Cosworth spacer. Than I don't think OEM/OEM spec braces will fit.

Well the Yokohama deal fell through. So I went with a set of Nitto NT-01 tires. Gonna start with 245/40 & 275/40-18's. The RPF1's should be shipped tomorrow. :D
Robert_K
05-23-2009, 09:40 AM
Well I'm getting ready for the Texas Z Party, MSR HPDE next month!!! First... The Enkei's are back-order till June 11th now. :( However I heard that all the RPF1's coming to the states are all pretty much spoken for. So I'm happyI pre-orderd and I'll see my set soon. Also the Yokohama deal feel through. No hard feelings, just couldn't get a hold of the rep. So I went with Nitto NT-01 tires, 245/40 & 275/40-18. I also order some other parts to get ready for more HPDE events. Last month I snapped a bolt on my rear endlink. Talked to SPL and was able to get a new bolt & nut. Since I was on their website I ordered the following; ARP 14.3 knurl wheel studs (14.3mm knurl studs are 15mm longer), SPL hub-centering rings (CNC machine out of billet T-6061 aluminum) and, Speed Bleeders (one person brake fluid bleeders). Since I went with a stonger & longer wheel stud I had to replace my 12x1.25 pitch Kics R40 lugs with a 12x1.5 pitch lug. However, I didn't go far from them. I went with Kics R40 lugs & lock in NeoChrome via E-Bay. Lastly, I just bought a Nismo finned diff cover today. What's next? Who knows?! Still so much more I want to do.

Well if you didn't know the Enkei wheel order fell threw. Do to lack of Customer Service on Gruppe-S's end I canceled the entire order. Anyhow to better news...
So I started making a list for possible next stage for my 350Z. Looking for a built motor, replace the clutch & flywheel, replace the UTEC, replace the exhaust, replace the Hotchkis springs, replace the audio, add a second set of wheels/tires, upgrade the big brake kit, and I'll add more as it comes to mind.
