Like as in GMAILor some forums you can click on settings in your account and click on themes....
gives you different color formats for the forum.
spice it up and give members their own custom themes...
if someones favorite color is pink or green then the you click on the certain color theme and BLAM you got your favorite color outlining the forum!
love it or hate it???

In theory this is a neat idea, but in reality, every different theme would have to be created by an admin - there is no option for each user to do this themselves. Even if we made 6 different layouts (one for each color of the rainbow), what if someone does not like the particular shade of red we picked, or wants two different colors... I'm sure the requests would never end. :pileon: This is not something we plan on doing in the near future, or possibly ever.

+1 i think sticking to a basic color format is good for everyone.

Sorry for thread jacking but what about revolving banners? Have something like 5 different CONOC.net banners that randomize when he site is reloaded?

isn't there a setting to enable a user to change forum color, for only their account? I believe I've seen other vBulletin boards allow the function.. where you can customize the forum layout for your own account. That way, admins would not have to create any layouts, and users could pick for themselves?
Or is this not possible?
I probably wouldn't use the function even if you could.

Yes importatlanta.com has it. gmail has it.
There is a way. Just would take some time.
There are a couple others as well that do it.
I think there is a standard system that can apply to any vbulletins as well which would basically be plug and play.

vbulletin & Gmail are completely different programs.
If on the Atlanta import site, if are you talking about the choices between Default, Adult Skin (snow), Girlie, and Dos Equis Amber, then yes, we could do that, but they have to be admin-created before the can even show up as choices.
For continuity of the site, and familiarity, conoc.net is going to remain blue.
