New Post flag

When you navigate away from a post you just read, the "Forum Contains New Posts" flag is still on the thread. You have to click the thread's forum area, then navigate away for it to unflag.

Or is this just me? If any of that made sense

when there's a new post in a thread - there's an icon to the left of the thread link, indicating that there is a new post or no new posts. If you click on the thread and read it, then go back to the forum home, the forum area will still show that there is a new post.

it might be because your going "back" instead of clicking new posts again.

At the top of the site there's links as follows:

Colorado Nissan Owners Club > General Discussion > Colorado Nissan Owners Club News > Site Suggestions

If I click "Colorado Nissan Owners Club" to go back to the directory of areas, it will still show a new post in the area I just read. But if I click "Site Suggestions" then "CONOC News" then "General Discussion" it will unflag the post and will show me that I read it.

If it's only happening to me, I can deal with it - I wasn't sure if it was universal or not. And some might same I'm anal retentive :p

Well it looks like it is a cookie based system, so instead of vBulletin marking it read, your computer is. So, we'll just have to live with it so we don't slow down the site.
