Hey new guy here... Jay, or Bubbles as they call me in the adult snowboard school at Beaver Creek where i work.

I'm 29, disabled Marine Corps vet (hearing and shrapnel wounds so no big deal) Originally from Iowa but lived out here before the war, and finally moved back. Had a club like this I belonged to back in Iowa and I'm glad I finally found another group like it.

I've gone to a few ClubFR drift events, but i really suck at em. I built my 240 more around road courses and auto-x which i enjoy a bit more. I really enjoyed racing on Road America in WI and hope to find another track like that around here eventually, until then spirited drives up here in the hills will keep me very happy.

anyway, here are pics of my baby... "War Trophy" is her name, as thats exactly where i got the money to buy her and build her. I've got over$10k of work into her, and alot more blood and tears, so i wont bother listing the mods.

Black paint is the original color, and the red with purple and crushed glass is the new.

Looking forward to meeting everyone, talking cars, and going on drives!

I learned of CoDrift from Zilvia.net and then someone here posted something about a drive in the mountains and linked to here. So i actually kinda just stumbled upon you guys.

For months i was searching the non-for-profit car club listings but most of those as always are classic cars and dont do the kind of things us younger people do.

so yeah thats how i found you guys!

Semper FI!

I havent even seen this new paint job in person yet myself... looking forward to the long drive from Buffalo NY, all the way back here to Eagle.

But i'll have to miss the sunday meet =( Thats the last day of the mountain and I'm leaving the 13th to head back to Iowa to drop off my GF and then head to NY to pick up my car.

Do you guys do a gumball rally type of thing? A guy started one in Iowa... just like a day thing, where he would give you addresses and such in a few towns and you and your co-pilot would drive around and take pictures of your car at the location. Took about 6 hours if you planned your trip well... about 8 if you had to back track. It was good times... but i've never heard of any other runs like the cornball run.

That sounds like a good idea to do here in colorado, The Rockyball run ;)

Welcome to the forum, I like your style. Let me know how the trip is from NY here, might have to do that trip here soon too, to pick up acar.

The only stop I'm THINKING about detouring on the way back is a run down Tail of the Dragon. http://www.tailofthedragon.com/

Which i mean is just a mountain road, I have NO idea where we can find em around here =P

But I'm definitely down to help get a Snowball, Rockyball, etc ball run going around here. It was a good way to get alot of clubs together. It was fun with import guys, rod guys, and even old classic car guys together to drive around. The small cash prize to the winner was nice as well and it was a good fund raiser for the guys who put it on. i cant remember what car club he is with but he has to pocket some of the $$ to pay for the t-shirts, go plan the routes, etc. Here check it out he still has the 09 site up.
http://cornballrun.com/

I'll email the guy seeing i've talked to him before and see if he can send me some of the maps and such so if you guys really ARE interested we can have a starting point.
