Hey CONOC,
Here are some guidelines on what will be allowed in your posts on CONOC.net. If you have any questions on how to use the basic functions of forum such as posting, signatures, avatars, etc contact 350ZMPH (http://www.conoc.net/forums/member.php?u=2), ABishop (http://www.conoc.net/forums/member.php?u=1), Susan (http://www.conoc.net/forums/member.php?u=12) or Max (http://www.conoc.net/forums/member.php?u=11) and we will help you out as best we can or click “FAQ” in the top tool bar.
1) Before posting a question, PLEASE use the SEARCH feature. You can do this by clicking the 'SEARCH' button located at the top of the site. If you don't find the information you are looking for by searching, please note that you searched in your post so others will know that you looked already.
2) When posting, please make your best attempt to use correct spelling and grammar. No one is going to nitpick about little typos or other small/occasional mistakes. However, you are on a public forum, not a chat room, and you are expected to act like an adult. Any posts with excessive abbreviations (r, u, etc.) will be deleted. The administrators reserve the right to edit the title of a post if it is grammatically incorrect and becomes a popular topic. Repeat offenders will be subject to warning, and if deemed appropriate, banning.
3) Use of racial slurs and other hate speech will result in the post being deleted, and a warning or banning.
4) Posting of pornography of any type is prohibited.
5) The use of violence or threat of bodily harm to any member, their family, or vendor will result in the post being deleted, and a warning or banning.
6) Posting of private phone numbers, addresses and emails is prohibited*. Spammers harvest these from the web, so please only PM this kind of information. Any personal information found posted on public forums regardless of poster will be deleted for your protection.
7) Directly opposing the decision of an administrator by posting a topic that questions the action will be subject to the post being deleted, a warning on the first offense, and from there, other action will be taken. Any disputes with a moderator/admin's judgment should be handled via PM with an ADMINISTRATOR (350ZMPH (http://www.conoc.net/forums/member.php?u=2) / ABishop (http://www.conoc.net/forums/member.php?u=1) / Susan (http://www.conoc.net/forums/member.php?u=12) / Max (http://www.conoc.net/forums/member.php?u=11))
8) Advertising for any type of business or selling performance parts while representing a business in any form is strictly prohibited. Advertising, unless you are pre-approved, will result in deletion of advertising and a warning for veterans, and banning of newbies.
9) You may not advertise a link to a business website of any kind in your signature or your avatar. You may not post a number to your business or your e-mail address to your business if this business pertains to the automotive aftermarket industry in any way. This includes all forms of advertising. If you want to advertise on CONOC.net, contact 350ZMPH (http://www.conoc.net/forums/member.php?u=2), ABishop (http://www.conoc.net/forums/member.php?u=1), Susan (http://www.conoc.net/forums/member.php?u=12) or Max (http://www.conoc.net/forums/member.php?u=11) via PM for more information. Advertising in your signature and/or avatar will result in deletion of the advertising and either a warning or banning unless you are a CONOC Vendor.
10) You may not advertise another direct competing forum to CONOC.net in your signature or avatar. Advertising a direct competing forum in your signature and/or avatar will result in deletion of competition's info and a warning or banning.
11) Anyone caught harassing another member through the private messaging system or via e-mail or any form of communication, will be subject to a warning on the first offense, and from there, the CONOC ban policy will take effect.
12) Image in signatures must be no more than 300px wide and 100px high. This is to keep the forum tidier and to make it where people do not have to scroll a lot just to read a thread.
13) No SPAM. If your user name, profile, avatar, signature, and/or contact info is SPAM related, your user name will be deleted. If you have any questions feel free to contact an administrator.
14) No quoting other members in your signature.
